Cogit has released "Bread House Freezer Storage Bags" to help you freeze and store bread. A set of four bags is available at specialty stores and home centers nationwide from February 1, 2012 for 638 yen (tax included).
Cogit Bread House Freezer Storage BagsAccording to Cogit, if bread is stored at room temperature, it generally stays good for one to two days. If left unattended, it will lose its moisture and become dry or moldy. If you put it in the refrigerator, it tends to dry out inside and the starch, the main ingredient of bread, deteriorates most easily at this temperature, so if you refrigerate it, you will lose all the flavor.
The new product, "Bread House Freezing Storage Bag," is a storage bag that uses high-barrier type film. It protects bread from freezer smells and dryness. It has a cold resistance temperature of about -40℃.
For bread, it can store 3 slices of 5 or 6 slices or 2 slices of 4 slices. The gusseted design can also be used to store bread rolls and croissants. Even the popular 36-piece large loaf of bread can fit exactly in 4 slices. However, it is said that some types of bread may not fit.
It has a zipper for easy loading and unloading. Can be washed and used again and again.
