4 mini croissants (about 100 g)Butter, to taste
1 egg
Milk 100ml (3.38us fl oz)
10 g sugar
2 drops of vanilla essence
20 g frozen mixed berries
Powdered sugar to taste
How to make Croissant Bread Pudding
1. spread a thin layer of butter on the inside of a heatproof container (such as an enameled baking pan or gratin dish with a capacity of about 600 ml), and line it with cut mini croissants.Mix eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract well and pour into the heatproof container. Turn the mini croissants upside down and let it soak all over.
Sprinkle mixed berries all over.
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for about 20 minutes.
5. sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar.
This bread pudding has the rich flavor and slightly chewy texture that only croissants can offer. The mild taste of eggs and milk, combined with the freshness of mixed berries, will keep you coming back for more.
Since it is not too sweet, maple syrup and ice cream are recommended as garnish. It is also delicious with chocolate croissants. You can also add nuts or chocolate instead of mixed berries.
This easy bread pudding is recommended not only for a 3 o'clock snack, but also for breakfast or after-dinner dessert. Feel free to give it a try.
