Nitori started selling "Standable Oil Screens" at all its stores on May 30, which had been available only at some stores since November 29 last year. Sizes are 26 cm and 30 cm, and the price is 599 yen (tax included).

The Oil Screen has been supported as a standard product for Nitori's convenient kitchen items. It can prevent oil splatter and sauce splatter and reduce the burden of cleaning after cooking. With the growing need for people to enjoy cooking at home, it has become a long-seller as an idea product that makes housework easier, and has sold more than 3 million units in total.

This time, all stores sell the "Standable Oil Screen," an even easier-to-use version of the very popular oil screen. Conventional oil screens do not stand on their own, making it inconvenient to place them while cooking.


The new "Standable Oil Screen" was developed through trial and error, from the angle and strength of the screen to the fineness of the mesh, with a focus on ease of use. The product received the Good Design Award in 2021 for its simple fusion of functionality and design.


The product can be placed upright by the stove, eliminating the need for a plate for temporary storage. The frame is designed to float 4 mm to keep the kitchen clean even when standing.


The mesh is finer to prevent oil splatter while making it easy to wash. Pots and pans are easier to see inside because the support columns have been moved to the edges.
