Post Office "Chiikawa" Items

Popular "Chiikawa" character items will go on sale at post office storefronts (about 100 post offices) and at post office online stores on November 1. A number of items spotlighting rabbits will appear in connection with the Chinese zodiac sign for the year 2023.

Set

of

3 New Year's postcards A set of 3 New Year's postcards with illustrations by illustrator "Nagano". Two types of postcards are available: pattern "A" featuring Chinese zodiac animals lined up at the window, and pattern "B" featuring Chiikawas in Kagamimochi (mirror-shaped rice cakes).


Each is priced at 660 yen (tax included, postage not included). The maximum size is approximately 10 cm (H) x 14.8 cm (W).

Window P

ouch A pouch with a window in the image of a post office window. The charms on the pulls are engraved with "Rabbit" and "U" respectively. There is one pocket inside.


The price is 1,540 yen (tax included). Maximum size is approximately 13.5 cm (H) x 18 cm (W) x 4 cm (D).

Today's Reward Bag

This item allows you to experience the feeling of receiving a reward bag. Inside the bag is a changing card, which changes its picture when tilted to the left or right. 10 bags per set (each bag contains 1 changing card). There are a total of 36 different changing cards (not all changing cards are available in one set).


The price is 990 yen (tax included). The maximum size of the package is approx. 14 cm (H) x 9.5 cm (W) x 0.5 cm (D), and the maximum size of the cards is approx. 8.9 cm (H) x 6.3 cm (W).

Okini-ni-iri Card Case

This item allows you to carry your favorite changing cards in the "Today's Reward Bag" (sold separately). It can hold cards up to 6.5 x 9.5 cm.


Price: 1,100 yen (tax included). Maximum size is approx. 13.5 cm (H) x 9.5 cm (W).

Plush Toy Measure

A measuring tape that looks like a plush toy. Pulling on the hat part of the bottle maker will bring out the scale. The scale is printed in 1mm increments up to 2000mm (=2M). The reverse side is color-coded for each package size (60 size, 80 size, etc.), making it easy to measure the size of packages.


Three types are available: chiikaware, hachiware, and rabbit. Each is priced at 1,540 yen (tax included). The maximum size for Chiikawa and Hachiware is approximately 7.5 cm (H) x 7.3 cm (W) x 3.2 cm (D), and for Usagi it is 9.5 cm (H) x 7.3 cm (W) x 3.2 cm (D).

Yubin-ya-san's bag

A large bag created with the image of "what a postman might use. It is lightweight, compact, and can be carried on the shoulder, making it useful as a sub-bag for travel. It is also convenient for everyday use as an eco bag, mother's bag, gym bag, etc.


Price: 2,530 yen (tax included). Maximum size: 43 cm (length) x 47 cm (width) x 21 cm (depth) when in use, 18 cm (length) x 23 cm (width) x 2 cm (depth) when stored.

Mochi Mochi Mascot Rabbit

A glutinous, soft-feeling rabbit mascot in the shape of a Kagamimochi (mirror-shaped rice cake). The palm-sized mascot is perfect for attaching to your bag or carrying around.


The price is 1,430 yen (tax included). The maximum size is approximately 14.5 cm (H) x 8.2 cm (W) x 7 cm (D).

Sales will begin at 10:00 on November 1 at the post office's online store. A separate shipping fee will be charged (there is no shipping fee for purchases of 5,000 yen or more including tax for the same series).

At post offices (about 100 post offices), "New Year's postcard set of 3 cards (total 3 types)," "Window pouch," "Today's reward bag," "Okiniinori no card case," and "Plush toy measure (Chiikawa)" will be available from November 1. The start time of sales depends on the opening hours of the sales bureau.
