Two collaborative audio systems commemorating the 40th anniversary of Sanrio's popular "Hello Kitty" character will be released by Pioneer Home Electronics on November 1. Prices are open.


The two models to be released are the Stylish CD Mini Component (X-SMC01KT) and the Wireless Speaker System (XW-BSP1-KT). The Stylish CD Mini Component has a slim 114mm depth design that can be wall-mounted, and comes with two types of Hello Kitty panels that can be replaced to suit the user's preference.


The iPod/iPhone/iPad can be connected to the USB port for playback and recharging, and music media such as CDs and USB memory sticks, as well as wireless playback via Bluetooth The unit also supports wireless playback via CD, USB memory, and Bluetooth. The main unit measures W430 x H218 x D114 mm, weighs 2.8 kg, and will be available in a limited edition of 500 units.

The wireless speaker system, on the other hand, enables wireless playback of music stored in a Bluetooth-enabled device at home or on the go. It is equipped with a lithium-ion battery that can run continuously for about 7 hours, and is capable of high-power 4W + 4W full-range playback, and also supports pairing via NFC. The main unit measures W200 x H77 x D72 mm and weighs 400 g.


Both products will be available at Sanrio directly-operated stores.
