Platinum Fountain Pens will release a new fountain pen "Fujin Raijin" on December 25 with Kanazawa foil on the barrel body depicting a representative Japanese folding screen painting "The Wind and Thunder Gods". The price is 30,000 yen (excluding tax).


The body of this product is decorated with the "Momi-chirashi" technique of Kanazawa leaf, and the "Wind God and Thunder God" drawn by Tawaraya Sotatsu in the 17th century is painted over the body with modern maki-e techniques. The traditional technique of breaking up thinly spread gold leaf into small pieces and pasting them together is said to have enhanced the sense of depth and depth of the background, as well as the elegant luster and dynamism of the design.


In terms of functionality, the #3776 CENTURY series also uses the same fully sealed cap that prevents ink from drying out. Users who use the pen only a few times a year will always be able to write with "dry" ink.

The pen is 139.5 mm in length and 15.4 mm in maximum diameter, weighing 18.8 g. The nib is a large 14-karat gold pen. The pen comes with a cartridge ink (one cartridge), a converter, and a paulownia wood box.
