Omron Healthcare will release the Omron Women's Electronic Thermometer (MC-683L), which can quickly take a temperature in an average of 10 seconds, on April 1. The price is open to the public.


For women, measuring basal body temperature is useful for understanding their physical condition and managing their health based on menstrual rhythms. However, it is necessary to take basal body temperature on the floor after waking up in the morning before getting up, which is difficult to do on busy mornings.

The new product on the market is a women's thermometer (actual temperature measurement time is about 5 minutes) that predicts and displays the body temperature (equilibrium temperature) in 10 seconds on average, based on the body temperature data under the tongue detected by the temperature-sensitive tip of the thermometer.

The light automatically turns on for 10 seconds after completion of the temperature test, allowing the user to check the temperature result at a glance even in a dark room. The light also turns on automatically when the power is turned on, allowing the user to check the results of the previous temperature measurement.


Measuring W20 x L136.8 x D12.7 mm and weighing approximately 14 g, the device comes with a case for convenient storage and carrying. It is available in three colors: pink, white, and beige.
