The author attended a preview event for the media ahead of the store's opening, and will be introducing some of the most noteworthy stores in this article!

◆You can actually try out the tools! The first DIY specialty store in the Kanto region
The facility is directly connected to the east exit of Futako Tamagawa Station and can be reached in just a few minutes on foot. The open-style space is lined with restaurants and general stores.

As soon as you go up to the second floor, you will see DIY FACTORY FUTAKOTAMAGAWA on your left. This is a brick-and-mortar store operated by DIY and gardening supplies online store DIY Tools.com, mainly in Osaka, and this is their first store in the Kanto region.
The entire store, including the walls, is lined with tools and DIY equipment, and you'll find yourself losing track of time as you gaze upon them.

We also carry hooks and decolfa tile stickers that allow you to easily decorate your room.

This is the store's original tool box, "cotetsu." It is handmade by artisans in Niigata and is popular with women for its unprecedented color variations. It would also be good for storing stationery and handicrafts.

In addition, in the workspace set up inside the store, you can try out most of the tools on sale in advance.

They also plan to hold workshops from time to time, so if you're a DIY enthusiast, this is a store you'll want to visit at least once. The staff were all cheerful and kind!
◆ Gardens Marché: A wide selection of rare vegetables and popular kitchen goods
Next up is Gardens Marché, a select shop run by Yoshida Aquarium Sales that sells vegetables delivered directly from the farm and kitchen goods. Among the visibly fresh vegetables are many rare varieties that you won't find in regular supermarkets, and the store manager will also give you advice on how to cook them.

They also have a wide selection of popular kitchen goods from brands like WECK and Noda Horo, so you can find a complete set of items from your favorite brands.

The tableware is all lovely, and the shop is a great place to get tips on how to live a careful and high-quality life.

"ZARA HOME" makes you feel like you're in a dream just by being there
ZARA HOME is a home accessories brand affiliated with the fashion brand ZARA. This is the second store in Tokyo and sells a variety of items, including bed linens, interior goods, and tableware.

Although I had always been interested in this store, I never had a chance to go. The first thing that surprised me when I entered was the number of products! Items are displayed from top to bottom in the spacious store, and it's a store that you'll want to take your time to look around when you have time. With a wide range of styles and colors, you're sure to find something that suits your taste. I would like to enjoy putting together a total outfit while taking inspiration from the displays.

◆Don't miss out on the food you can only get here!
If you get tired of shopping, take a break for a meal. There are many restaurants in the facility, but one that stands out is the gourmet store "Mallorca," which is opening its first store in Japan from Spain.

This long-established gourmet store is also patronized by the Spanish royal family. The interior, decorated in red and black, exudes a luxurious atmosphere and is lined with delicatessens selling sandwiches and prepared foods, pastelerias (sweets), and panaderias (bread).

I tried some of the deli items, and they were absolutely delicious, making the most of the flavor of the ingredients themselves, such as the prosciutto and tomatoes. If it were closer to me, I would definitely go there every day.

Although we were unable to introduce it this time, Culture Convenience Club (CCC) is also planning to open a new brand, "Futako Tamagawa Tsutaya Electrics," on May 3rd. We are very excited to see this store, which will offer lifestyle suggestions that combine home appliances, books, and services.
In fact, for me, Futako Tamagawa is a town with many fond memories, as I was often brought there by my parents as a child. Since then, it has undergone a transformation comparable to that of Urashima Taro, but the town's development, which makes use of the river and abundant nature, still gives off a sense of security that has remained unchanged since ancient times. With plans to house Rakuten offices and the Tokyu Excel Hotel in the adjacent high-rise tower, it seems the area will become even more lively in the future. It may become a desirable town for both living and working.
