With the "dengue fever" scare last year, interest in insect repellents is expected to increase this summer. Among them, "mosquito coils," which are a traditional part of summer in Japan and have little impact on the human body, are said to be the focus of renewed attention.

Kiyo Jyushikiku is releasing a 10-roll "Aroma Mosquito Repellent Coil" for this summer, featuring three types of flower scents. The incense has a subtle floral aroma when used, and can be used just like incense.

This is a standard size mosquito coil (11 cm in diameter), which used to be available only in a "small roll" type, and can be used for about 6.5 hours. The product lineup includes three types of scents: rose, lavender, and rindo. 10 rolls are available for 600 yen. Sales will begin in June.

The company has also been offering small rolls of aroma mosquito coils (160 yen) since last year, which are convenient for gardening and outdoor use. 12 types are available, including summery scents such as "ice strawberry" and "watermelon.
