"Cafe Gatto" is a new style cafe that combines a cat cafe and an old folk house cafe. We are aiming to raise funds through crowdfunding and realize it.


The hurdles for cat cafes are quite high for people who are not good at cats to enter. In addition, while there are many wonderful cat cafes, there are also places where the cleaning is not perfect and the coffee and tea served are not good even if the environment for cats is good.

"Cafe Gatto" is a cafe that has the potential to attract not only cat lovers but also old folk house lovers as customers. By having people other than cat lovers feel free to use it, we are aiming to create a culture of "cats in cat cafes if you want to welcome them as a family" by letting them know about the slaughter of cats.


The difference from a general cat cafe is that the "cat space" and "cafe space" are completely separated by a transparent acrylic wall. Therefore, even people who are not good at cats can enjoy old folk houses.


Of course, I haven't forgotten the service for cat lovers. Various services will be held, such as "Cat Yoga" where you can enjoy yoga in a space with cats, and a class on how to take pictures of cats by professional photographers. In addition, cat miscellaneous goods will be sold on consignment.



The old folk house building was built in the Taisho era. Although it is 90 years old, it is built with great care, and it is said that one piece of timber is very valuable.


The old folk house is currently undergoing renovation. It was completed in January 2016 and is scheduled to open on February 22 (Nyan Nyan Nyan's "Cat Day").

Kaoru Hattori, the inventor, is conducting a campaign to recruit investors at the crowdfunding site FAAVO Fukuoka to realize "Cafe Gatto". By investing, you can get the "Cafe Gatto" original postcard and the right to participate in the "How to take a cute picture of a cat" class.
