"ArcelorMittal Orbit" is an observation tower with a height of 114.5 meters in London, England. It was set up to commemorate the London Olympics. The slide "THE SLIDE" will be attached to the ArcelorMittal Orbit as a new attraction and will be open to the public in June this year.
"THE SLIDE" is the world's longest tunnel-type slide with a total length of 178 meters. Part of the tunnel is transparent and you can enjoy the view of London. It takes about 40 seconds to slide down, and the maximum speed reaches 24 km.
The starting point of the slide is an observatory with a height of 76 meters. Starting from this observatory, where you can see up to 30 kilometers away, you slide down while repeating a total of 12 turns. Inside the turn, there is a corkscrew section named "Bed Spring", and you can enjoy the power like a roller coaster while bouncing (?).
The fee is £ 15 for adults (about 2,370 yen) including admission to the observatory. Tickets are already on sale on the ArcelorMittal Orbit website. The scheduled opening date is June 24th.
If you're planning a trip to the UK during the summer vacation, why not add it to one of your destinations?
