"Fireside Audiobox" is a Bluetooth speaker whose flames dance to music. If you bring it to a party and use it, the place may be exciting.


The mechanism is similar to "Rubens' tube". The momentum of the gas changes according to the sound pressure of the speaker, and the flame becomes larger or smaller. It is unique in that it expresses music as a change in heat in addition to hearing and sight.


The speaker part operates with a lithium polymer rechargeable battery. It can be used for about 8 hours on a single charge.


A 16.4 ounce propane gas cartridge is used for the (?) Part where the flames fly. It can be used for about 8 hours. Since it is difficult to obtain a cartridge of this size in Japan, it will be necessary to devise something unique, such as connecting it to a 5 kg cylinder.


It was developed by Gray Street Design in Oregon, USA. The company is currently conducting a campaign to recruit investors on the crowdfunding site kickstarter for the commercialization of "Fireside Audiobox". At the time of this writing, a $ 349 "Fireside Audiobox" is available. Shipment is scheduled for April 2017.
