Pre-orders for the communication robot "Kibiro" equipped with FRONTEO's original artificial intelligence "KIBIT" have started today (November 2nd). It will be accepted until December 31st on the Kibiro official website and Isetan Mitsukoshi.
Kibiro is a robot that learns the user's hobbies and preferences from information obtained through dialogue and chat using a smartphone app, and provides recommended information. The first version for the general public, which will be pre-ordered this time, is equipped with a recommendation function for "books" and "health information," and plans to upgrade to add new recommended content in the future.
In addition, it has functions such as clock / alarm, schedule notification, song and dance, and camera (still image).
The size is H28.5 x W14 x D16 cm, and the weight is about 800 g. The suggested retail price is 150,000 yen, but a separate service usage fee of 5,000 yen (excluding tax) is required per month. Shipping and service usage will start sequentially from February 2017. Kibiro, who wears costumes in advance and handles at the Isetan Shinjuku store, is said to be a limited model wearing an "Isetan tartan (McMillan)" vest and a bow tie.
