2016 Booklog Annual Ranking

Book review site "Bukurogu", which is registered by about 1 million people, announces "2016 Bukurogu Annual Ranking". "Convenience Store Woman" by Sayaka Murata and "Lion 12 in March" by Chika Umino are mentioned.

The target of the ranking is "books", "manga" and "e-books" released from December 1, 2015 to November 30, 2016. The top works are summarized by category based on the "number of registrations" (the number registered in the user's "bookshelf") and the "evaluation" (five-grade evaluation at the time of review).

In order of the number of registered "books", Sayaka Murata's "Convenience Store Woman" (Bungeishunju) won first place. This work depicts the main character against the sympathetic pressure of society, and has won the 155th Akutagawa Prize.

In order of the number of registered "manga", Chika Umino's "March Lion 12" (Hakusensha) ranked first, and Hajime Isayama's "Attack on Titan 18" (Kodansha) ranked second. The announcement of animation and live-action movie of "March Comes In Like Lion" seems to be the reason for the increase in the number of registrations.

In order of the number of registered "e-books", JK Rowling's "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Part 1, Part 2 Special Rehearsal Edition Book" won first place. In the order of evaluation, Mr. Tadashi Saegusa's "The company remodeling from 340 people to a global 10,000 people company" ranked first. It is a novel written by the author who is an active manager of a listed company, and is said to be popular as a management instruction book.
