IKEA "Furniture trade-in / return service"

"Furniture trade-in / return service" will start on January 19th at IKEA stores nationwide.

If you bring in IKEA furniture that you no longer need, you can get a return card (a prepaid card that can be used at IKEA) to return the amount of money according to the condition. The picked-up furniture will be maintained and then sold at IKEA outlets. At IKEA Shin Misato, which has been providing this service as a pilot store since 2016, 92% of the traded-in furniture is being resold (February 1st to December 24th, 2016).

[Flow from application to return]
1. 1. Filling out the assessment application form Fill out the assessment application form on the IKEA website and attach an image of the target furniture.
2: Notification of valuation amount When the valuation is completed, IKEA will notify you by e-mail of the valuation amount, expiration date, precautions, etc.
3: Picking up and returning furniture If you bring the assembled furniture to the store, it will be returned with a return card.
