Fermented Delicatessen Cafeteria Kouji & ko
Fashionable deli that makes your body happy

Fermented foods that have been attracting attention in recent years as healthy foods such as salted koji and amazake. The cafe "Fermented Delicatessen Cafeteria Kouji & ko", which offers the fermented food as a fashionable deli, opened in Shinjuku Takashimaya last fall.

The store, which I've always been interested in, started paying attention to food after crossing thirty. I heard that it has become possible to take out deli recently, so I bought various things!

The store is on the 8th floor of Shinjuku Takashimaya. There is a spacious audience seat in the back of the showcase where deli lines are lined up. I visited around noon on weekdays, but all the customers were women.

There are a wide variety of colorful deli such as hors d'oeuvres, risottos, and sweets, and you will inadvertently read the menu name carefully. All of the deli at the restaurant is served on a light tart dough, and it is also novel that you can hold it with one hand and eat it as a whole. The price ranges from 378 yen to 702 yen (tax included).

Some of them were already sold out, but it's annoying!

This time, I chose three kinds of squid ink risotto, "Tamari miso scent", "Emmental cheese and ham omelet", and "Matcha rare cheese cake with Daitokuji natto".

The black risotto has a pleasant texture of black rice, glutinous wheat, squid, and burdock chips. The miso has a fluffy scent and is combined with the flower jiso to create a rich Japanese taste. If you don't mix it with the mashed potatoes laid on the bottom, it will become mellow, and it seems that about 3 pieces will be cool at once.

The fluffy omelet has a texture that melts when you put it in your mouth. It's moderately salty and goes well with mashed potatoes.

The last is a new product, rare cheese cake. The smooth acidity of the cheese and the edgy saltiness of Daitokuji Natto are more compatible than you might imagine!

I ate Daitokuji Natto for the first time, but it's close to the feeling of soy sauce and miso

I think it's small, and I can eat even dishes, so I'm more satisfied. Even though it is a stylish menu, it has an exquisite seasoning that seems to suit everyone's taste, and I think that it will definitely be appreciated as a souvenir for a home party.

At eat-in, you can eat a set with a custom salad and drink (or soup) for your favorite dish + 1,080 yen. You can also buy original products of "Kouji & ko", so you must see the inside of the store.
