A meal kit service that delivers the ingredients and recipes necessary for cooking to your home as a set. In Japan, the number of types and users is gradually increasing, including Oisix and Tasty Table.

Meanwhile, "Chefy ", a "meal kit produced by a popular chef," was introduced in May. It is a meal kit supervised by a chef of a famous store in Tokyo, but can you really finish it with a professional taste on your own? I was curious, so I experienced it a little earlier!


This time, I participated in an event to make a Sicilian meal kit with Chef Oshita of "Sicilia-ya" (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo). There are two menu items, "Simmered pork hock and prunes" and "Red shrimp Casalecce" . I usually cook as it is, but I'm a little worried about the menu I've never heard of.


At the event, under the direction of the chef, only the participants challenged cooking. Since the ingredients are in the state before cooking, I also cut and prepare them myself. If you make it with a partner or friend, it may be smooth if you divide the roles.



When you start making it, you basically just "simmer" and there is no difficult process. Cooking using Casa Lecce (short pasta) was completed in one pot. This is as easy as it sounds ...!





At the long-awaited tasting, everyone who was there was praised for the high-level taste that seems to actually come out in the store. Even if the process is simple, it is very educational because an amateur can hardly think of a sauce made from whole prunes and red shrimp.



Personally, the biggest merit is that you don't have to search for ingredients that you don't usually buy, and you can start right away by standing in the kitchen. I felt that it is a service for people who want to enjoy the whole meal process more carefully than usual, such as acting on loved ones, making with family, coordinating with favorite tableware and cloth.

The price is 6,000 yen (excluding tax) for 2 servings x 2 meals. It costs about 1,500 yen per person, but it's more reasonable than eating this level of food outside. The delivery frequency can be selected according to your lifestyle, such as "weekly" or "once a month", so it may be a good idea to incorporate it as a small event.


The first reception (delivery on June 10th) is until June 4th.
