British traditional baked goods "Shortbread". The crispy and gentle texture and the rich taste with plenty of butter are popular. Here's a recipe that makes it easy to make that shortbread.
We will prepare two panque mixes (100g (3.53oz)) and butter (50g (1.76oz)). First, softly knead the butter that has been returned to room temperature with a whisk.
Then add the panque mix and mix evenly with a rubber spatula to put the whole together.
Wrap it in plastic wrap and lightly knead it with your hands to make a smooth mass, then make a rectangle with a thickness of about 2 cm. Cool it in the freezer for about 10 minutes, cut it into 4 equal parts, and use chopsticks or bamboo skewers to make small holes on the surface.
Bake the cut dough in a preheated oven or toaster oven to complete it. In the case of an oven, it takes about 20 minutes at 160 degrees. This time I used a Balmuda oven toaster. The baking time was about 20 minutes at 300W. If it gets burnt during baking, cover the surface with aluminum foil to prevent it from becoming too colored.
Freshly made shortbread with a mellow scent. The richness of butter and the crumbled texture are behind, and it seems that you will end up eating too much. It is also good to add tea leaves or chocolate chips to the dough to change the taste. I used salted butter this time, but the saltiness may be a little stronger. If you want a refreshing taste, use unsalted butter. If you want a crispy texture, don't take it out of the oven or toaster oven immediately, but let it cool slowly to remove any water.
A shortbread recipe that is easy to make and easy to adjust. Why don't you enjoy it as a casual snack or tea confectionery?
