MUJI "Cassette Konro Mini"
Mini stove that is easy to store

In the event of a disaster, where relief supplies may not arrive smoothly, or the store may be flooded with people and products may not be available. I introduced the " Rolling Stock Method " the other day, but it is important to prepare for food in particular.

The "Cabinet Office Disaster Prevention Information Page" recommends preparing a cassette stove in addition to emergency food, and it seems that the range of meals can be expanded by having it at the same time. However, the bottleneck of cassette stoves is that they take up space for storage. Therefore, at my home, I introduced MUJI's "Cassette Konro Mini".

MUJI "Cassette Konro Mini"

This stove is characterized by its compact size, with a body size of 243 width x 191 depth x 90 cm height and a weight of about 1.2 kg. It is a nice point that it does not take up space when storing or carrying it, as well as on the table.

The gas cylinder used is "MUJI cassette stove gas cylinder" (3 bottles, 390 yen, not available at online stores). The cylinder can be easily attached and detached using the magnet method, and a "pressure sensing safety device" that detects an abnormal pressure rise inside the cylinder is also installed.

The ignition speed and firepower are the same as those of a general stove, but the only drawback is that you cannot use a large pot that covers the gas cylinder (there is a risk of explosion due to overheating of the main body). Pots, kettles, and small frying pans with an inner diameter of up to 20 cm can be used without problems, so it seems to be useful as a portable cooking utensil for boiling water, simple cooking, cooking rice, etc. (Article) The one used inside is a clay pot from Daiso.
