A new product "Focaccia" from Pasco's "Super-Mature" series. It has been sold at supermarkets and drug stores since October (Tohoku, Kanto, Chubu, Kansai, Chugoku, Shikoku areas only). When I bought bread at a supermarket, I chose super-ripe, so I tried it immediately!
Focaccia is a traditional Italian flat bread seasoned with olive oil and herbs. You can often find it at Italian restaurants.
The super-ripe focaccia comes in 4 stick-sized focaccia that are easy to eat, and the price at the time of purchase is 192 yen (tax included). No margarine or shortening is used, and only olive oil is used for fats and oils, just like the authentic method. Even if you eat it as it is, you can feel the flavor of olives with a soft texture.
However, if you eat it as it is, it will be a little dry, so it is recommended to warm it with a toaster for about one and a half to two minutes. The softness and moistness of the dough will improve, making it much more delicious! If you have it, sprinkle rosemary or rock salt and warm it to make it taste more like a shop, and you can eat as much as you want just by adding olive oil.
Rather than always having it for breakfast like bread, it is a bread that you definitely want to add when you decide to make a Western-style menu today, such as stews, salads, and stewed dishes. If you see it at the store, please give it a try!
