KALDI Galette Mix

The classic "galette" of the fashionable cafe menu. A French dish that is said to be the prototype of crepes, with ingredients wrapped in a dough made from buckwheat flour.

I found a mixed powder that can be easily made at KALDI Coffee Farm. The product name was "Mama's Kitchen Galette Mix", and the price was 401 yen (tax included) with 270g (9.52oz).

I was attracted to the ease of mixing it with water and baking it, so I decided to give it a try.

The main ingredient is buckwheat galette dough. It has a richer flavor than wheat crepes. With crepes, the dough tends to lose the taste of the ingredients, but the flavored galette functions well as a member of the taste.

The texture is chewy. The slightly salty taste enhances the flavor of the buckwheat noodles.

For sweets-based ingredients, rich ones such as chocolate and caramel seem to be more compatible than light fruits. It's delicious even if you simply finish it with butter and honey, with the flavor of the dough as the main character.

It takes time to elaborate on the ingredients, but if it is simple, it is very easy to make a galette. How about incorporating it into breakfast or snacks?
