Polishing with a cleanser, pickling in oxy ... Anyway, a kitchen sink that takes time to clean. I want to keep it clean because I use it every day, but when I was worried about doing this for the rest of my life, I found a product I was interested in at Tokyu Hands, so I tried it.
Introducing this time is "WAKI Stainless Sink Coating Agent" sold by Waki Sangyo. The cleaner and coating agent used by professionals are made into a kit for home use, and the price is 1,598 yen (tax included).

The set includes a single dose of solvent as well as gloves and cloth, so you can start right away without any special preparation. The solvent is petroleum-based, so don't forget to ventilate while working.

Work is in two stages
Start moving things around the drainer basket and sink! After washing the sink as usual, first rub it with a cleaner containing abrasives and a sponge.
As you scrub, the dirt film comes off and the sink turns black. The key to a clean finish is to thoroughly remove the dirt here.

After drying and wiping off the cleaner, rinse with a mild detergent and allow it to dry thoroughly.

Then the finishing coating agent. Soak the cloth thoroughly and finish it with a single coat so that it does not overlap. Let it dry for 6 hours and you're done (you can use it after 3 hours).

When hardened firmly, there will be a shining new sink ...! Even if you sprinkle water on it, it will flow if you repel it. It is said that daily cleaning is necessary even after coating, but it seems that water stains and dirt can be removed by just washing it quickly.

Requires time and physical strength
Since the sink cannot be used for 3 hours after applying the coating agent, the cooperation of the family is indispensable when working. I use my physical strength to polish it, so I think it's an ant to eat out as a reward after working hard. Also, if it is a new sink, it may already be coated, so please check with the house maker. The series is also available for washrooms and toilets, and according to the company, a coating effect of about 3 years can be expected with a single operation. I can't say if it really lasts, but for the time being, why don't you clean up the year for the new year?
