Caramel Baum Taichirou Morinaga

The long-selling caramel "Morinaga Milk Caramel" is marked by a yellow and brown box. Did you know that there is a Baumkuchen that reproduces the taste of this?

Its name is "Caramel Baum". It is sold at the sweets shop "TAICHIRO MORINAGA" operated by Morinaga & Co., Ltd. There are currently three stores: Tokyo Station Gransta (inside the JR ticket gate), NEWoMan Shinjuku (inside the JR ticket gate), and Kobe Daimaru.

Taichirou Morinaga is a sweets brand of Morinaga & Co., Ltd. The store name comes from the founder, Taichiro Morinaga. He was the first person to manufacture and sell caramel in Japan in 1899.

Caramel Baum is Baumkuchen baked with Morinaga's caramel sauce and plenty of eggs. It seems that it is finished even more softly and thickly by its own manufacturing method.

Available in sizes of 2 cuts for 405 yen, small halls for 1,296 yen, and large halls for 2,160 yen (tax included). I bought a small hall this time. The size of the hole changes not in diameter but in height.

Baumkuchen with a darker color than ordinary ones. When you take it out of the bag, you will find a sweet and mellow caramel scent. This scent is also attractive for caramel-flavored sweets.

Moist and fluffy when you eat it. The warm sweetness of caramel and the rich taste of eggs spread. The mouthfeel is also insanely good!

The image is that many of them have a strong caramel taste and sweetness, but this one is about the same as normal Baumkuchen. It's not heavy and the caramel scent is elegant, so you can eat as much as you want.

Therefore, it may be recommended for people who say "I like the fragrant flavor of caramel, but it's too sweet to eat as it is" rather than "I love caramel! Absolutely caramel when choosing a flavor!"

In addition to caramel baum, Morinaga Milk Caramel flavored "Caramel Rusk" and "Caramel Crispy" are lined up in the shop. Spin-off sweets, an item loved by generations, will be a great souvenir for homecoming. You can get it at the JR ticket gates at Tokyo Station and Shinjuku Station, so please check it out if you are on the way!
