"MUJI Ginza" opened in Ginza, Tokyo on April 4th. Positioned as the world flagship store and the first accommodation facility in Japan, "MUJI HOTEL GINZA", it has become a hot spot.
Among them, the editorial department, who was accustomed to MUJI, was interested in the fulfillment of "food" that other stores do not have. That's why this time we will tell you about the highlights, focusing on "food"! * All prices below include tax
■ Bakery with freshly baked bread
Next to the front entrance, there is a bakery corner baked inside the store. The author came to the store at the same time as the store opened on weekdays, and although there was a limit of 5 per person, I was able to purchase smoothly. It seems that the baking time is set several times a day.
About 10 types of bread are lined up in the store, but there is pressure for people to come in from behind, so a quick decision is required. I got 4 types this time, but the best one is the roll bread (90 yen). The buttery flavor overflows from the chewy dough, and the salt of Guérande topping is an exquisite accent, making it delicious to eat as it is!
The price is easy to buy and the taste is perfect. It doesn't go to the level of a luxury store in Ginza, but if you are in your own city, you will definitely go there every day. There is also a web service where you can reserve a set of morning coffee and bread rolls, so if you want to make sure you get it, check it out.
■ Fresh food and side dishes are also available on the 1st floor
On the food floor on the 1st floor, seasonal vegetables and fruits grown with particular attention such as organic farming and pesticide reduction are also sold. In addition, daily lunch boxes such as Khao Man Gai, Pad Thai, and Taco Rice are also available.
We also found an interesting menu such as "rice for curry (white rice, turmeric rice)" (180 yen). How about matching it with the retort curry at the same store?
■ Ice cream in the freezing corner
Frozen foods that are only available at a limited number of stores, even MUJI products. A freezing case is also installed at the Ginza store.
What I was interested in was the "hard-to-melt ice cream" that was sold in advance at the Ginza store. By blending polyphenols extracted from strawberries, the water does not dissolve over time and it does not easily lose its shape. It is very easy to eat because it keeps its shape even if it is left at room temperature for 30 minutes as a trial, and it does not lean even if you eat it leisurely.
* The ice cream will be sold only at 60 stores from April 27th.
■ Coffee break if you get tired of shopping
At the MUJI BOOKS corner on the 4th floor, I found a coffee machine that you can drink for 100 yen! There is also a counter nearby and you can get power. There are 4 floors of miscellaneous goods, so if you get tired of shopping, you can take a break with coffee.
As for the product lineup and services, all the items in other large stores are available, and you can experience all of MUJI products. Please visit when you go to Ginza!
