A graduate student from Tunghai University, Taiwan has created a "Napkin Table". This is a table that deepens the bond between two people who eat.


The "Napkin Table" is a foldable and easy-to-carry table. When eating, wear it around each other's neck. It's more unstable than a normal table, but there are various ways to make up for it. For example, a cup folder is attached to prevent drinks from spilling.






So why did the creator come up with the idea of developing such a table? The statement states:

"We deepen our relationships with friends through meals, but as more and more people become addicted to mobile technology, more and more people neglect their friends in front of them and eat in the air.

Napkin Table is an experimental product that promotes social dining. When eating with this, if you do not turn your body toward the other person, the table will tilt and the meal will fall to the ground. Under these circumstances, one would have to focus on the friend in front of him. "


So that's it. I feel like I understand. However, when I actually use the Napkin Table, I feel that it is impossible to "focus on the friend in front of me" because I am worried about the line of sight from the surroundings.
