The "Mino Washi Akari Art Exhibition x Pikmin Pikmin Bloom Akari Walk" will be held at the "Mino Washi Akari Art Exhibition" from October 8 to October 21. Pikmin are small, mysterious, plant-like and animal-like creatures that you will encounter on a planet inhabited by many dangerous protozoa. Washi," also derived from nature and plants, has been circulating in society while supporting people's lives. These two somewhat distant yet similar entities crossed the barrier between the game and the real world and met in Mino City, Gifu Prefecture, the city of washi.The collaboration of the "Mino Washi Akari Art Exhibition" and "Pikmin" will create a new and special experience where visitors can enjoy walking around the city and the world of Pikmin at the same time, as the historic streets are lit up with fantastic washi art.
The exhibition will be held from October 8 to 21, 2023. Hours are from 10:00 to 21:00 (17:00 to 21:00 on October 8 only). The event will be held at the udatsu-lined streets and facilities in Mino City, Gifu Prefecture. Participation is free of charge.
Pikmin Bloom Akari Walk How to enjoy Pikmin Bloom Akari Walk
If you visit 7 special spots set up around the Udatsu-lined streets where the "Mino Washi Light Art Exhibition" is held, you will receive a gold seedling of a deco Pikmin named after the spot in the Pikmin Bloom app. Pikmin Bloom app.In addition to the Pikmin associated with each location, such as Italian restaurants, cafes, hotels, museums, parks, and bridges, you can also get Deco Pikmin with gift stickers exclusive to this event.
During the event, approximately 280 washi paper artworks from all over Japan will be placed along a 1km-long historic townscape, allowing visitors to enjoy walking around the town in a tasteful atmosphere.
A pedestrian paradise day, "Mino Nagashi Niwaka," a skit historically handed down in Mino City, and a concert are also scheduled, allowing visitors to enjoy the "Mino Washi Light Art Exhibition," which will be held for the 30th time this year. Visitors can also view various "Pikmin no Akari" made of Mino Washi installed at a total of seven special spots.
Furthermore, by using the AR mode in the Pikmin Bloom app, you can take memorable photos of Pikmin reflected in the Akari Art and Mino scenery.
