Soundbox is a desk with a passive speaker for smartphones. By inserting a smartphone into the "hole" on the desk, music is played from the drawer of the desk. It was created by designer Jina U.


Many smartphone docks with passive speakers are already on the market. The superiority of Soundbox is that the entire drawer is used as a speaker. This allows it to achieve a rich sound for a passive speaker. In exchange, the drawer's original function of "storing things" is greatly compromised, but this neatness is also one of the charms of this work.


Soundbox" was Jina U's graduation project. Unfortunately, there are no plans to sell it commercially.
