At the exhibition, living tools that changed from the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras to the present day will be exhibited. For example, in the case of refrigerators, not only the early electric refrigerators, but also "ice-type wooden refrigerators" that cool the inside of the refrigerator using ice are introduced. Before the spread of electric refrigerators, there were ice makers in each shopping district that sell ice used in "ice-type wooden refrigerators," and I can think of the fact that it was people's daily routine to go there to buy ice. Would be fun too. In this way, at the "Living Tools Now and Once" exhibition, you can feel that people's lives have changed due to changes in living tools.
In addition, as a special exhibition, "Children of the 1960s" will be held, focusing on the daily lives of children in the 1960s. In addition to the corner that reproduces the living room in 1958, it is a special exhibition that visitors can enjoy, such as a well-drawing, black telephone, foot-operated sewing machine, and stone mill experience corner.
