Cute kimono "Chibi Maruko-chan Kokeshi" --Handmade by Usaburo Kokeshi craftsmen


From the creative Kokeshi dolls of Usaburo Kokeshi, a new product "Chibi Maruko-chan Kokeshi by Usaburo Kokeshi" has appeared. Orders are accepted from March 3rd at the Hikidashi store, a mail-order site of Hikidashi Co., Ltd.

A palm-sized creative kokeshi doll by "Usaburo Kokeshi" who has a workshop in Shinto-mura, Kitagunma-gun, Gunma Prefecture. Maruko of "Chibi Maruko-chan" who celebrated the 30th anniversary of animation in 2020 and her classmates in 3rd grade and 4th class are designed in kimono such as red and blue.


Usaburo Kokeshi doll craftsmen carefully paint each one while taking advantage of the warm grain of natural wood. Because it is handmade, it is said that there are individual differences in the handwriting and facial expressions of the paint. In addition, the grain, color, size and shape may differ slightly from the image.

There are four types of lineup: "Maruko", "Tama-chan", "Maruo-kun", and "Nagasawa-kun". The price (excluding tax) is 4,000 yen each. Products will be delivered sequentially from the end of April.
