Recently, nail polish in a variety of colors is sold, and when I find a beautiful color, I tend to buy it on impulse. However, when it comes time to apply the nail polish, some of them are not what you imagined or are too flashy, so you end up not using them...

On the website of HGTV, a U.S. home-improvement channel, Chelsea Costa, a California resident, shows how to make candle holders using nail polish colors.

The materials needed are a clear glass candle holder, nail polish, a container for water, and a toothpick. Nail remover and cotton for adjusting after completion, and coating spray if available.

First, fill the container half full of water. The best water for marbling is slightly warmer than room temperature. Then, drop a few drops of your favorite nail color into the water. If you drop them too high, they will sink, so try to drop them as close to the surface of the water as possible.

When it drips, it spreads over the surface of the water.

Use a toothpick to quickly and gently draw a marbled pattern on the surface of the water. The key seems to be to do this quickly, not exceeding one minute up to this step.

Hold both ends of the candleholder and gently dip and rotate it in the water. Once the glass is colored, turn it upside down and let it dry for an hour. Prepare with nail polish remover and a cotton ball, and you are done. They can be sprayed with a coating spray to keep them clean.

It looks like it would be hard to get the hang of it, but if you make a mistake, is there a remover to help? If it is done well, it looks like it would make a good gift.
