Ingredients for Strawberry Clafoutis
3 eggs75g (2.65oz) granulated sugar
30g (1.06oz) flour
150ml (5.07us fl oz) milk
100 ml fresh cream (35% milk fat)
10 to 12 strawberries
10-12 strawberries - Powdered sugar, to taste
How to Make Strawberry Clafoutis
Break the eggs into a bowl, add the granulated sugar and flour (sifted), and mix well.Add the milk a little at a time and mix. Add the cream and mix until combined.
Pour the mixture onto a lightly buttered baking sheet and sprinkle with the strawberries (heads removed and halved).
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 30 minutes.
Remove from heat, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
The top of the egg-colored clafoutis has a fluffy and thick pudding-like texture. The bottom side is chunky and tastes like a hard custard cream. The sweetness and sourness of the softly melted strawberries is a nice accent. This warm sweet is recommended for a casual snack or an after-dinner dessert.
