The " Japan Stationery Award" is given to the best stationery of the year in terms of functionality and design. The 2017 awards ceremony was held at the "International Stationery and Paper Products Exhibition (ISOT)" venue, and Carl Jimuki's "Excisors" and Punpukudo's "Your Props Box (4 colors each)" won the Grand Prix. Did.
This time, which marked the 26th time, 10 products in the functional / design category were selected as excellence awards from the new and renewed stationery products announced after September 2016. One Grand Prix will be decided from each division.
"Excisors", which won the Grand Prix in the functional category, is a scissors developed with the concept of "cutting off" instead of "cutting". It features a sharpness and a cool form that uses 3mm stainless steel plate luxuriously. I actually tried using it, but I was able to cut off the thick felt very easily with the cutting edge.
The "Your Props Box" of the Grand Prix of the Design Division is a postcard-sized box made of hard pulp "Pasco", which is said to last for 50 years. This is an original product created by combining the idea of the owner of the stationery store "Punpukudo" in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, with the high technology of the craftsmen of the town factory. The more you use a box that feels warm, the more you will become attached to it.
