Vixen, a manufacturer of optical instruments, will release loupes with designs of Moomin and Snufkin on February 17.

Two types of loupes in collaboration with "MOOMIN OUTDOORS," the fourth in the MOOMIN series, feature designs of the Moomin Valley friends in a series of pocket loupes with LED lights.


The setting is the novel "Comet in the Moomin Valley. Moomin and Snufkin are depicted crossing the dried-up sea on stilts during their great adventure.

When the loupe is pulled out of the folding case, a white LED light illuminates. The white LED light illuminates the text as you read. The loupe is useful for use in dark places or outdoors where lighting is difficult to secure.

Magnification is 3.5x, which is suitable for reading fine text in magazines, pamphlets, product labels, etc. They are also recommended for first-time loupes. The lens can be stored in a case, so it is said to be easy to carry in a pocket when shopping or traveling.
