Arflex Japan held "Living Room Dialogue by arflex," a three-day interactive pop-up event under the theme of "Cheers to the good life! Room Dialogue by arflex" was held in Yoyogi Uehara, Tokyo, from May 10 to 12.

Event to Explore a New Form of Living Room

Since its establishment, Arflex Japan has been committed to the idea that a living room should be a place where people feel comfortable and at home. In this event, we explored new forms of the living room together with participants.

Interactive Programs with a Variety of Themes

During the event, six hosts with rich personalities presented interactive programs with a variety of themes. The themes included ghost stories, movies, Japanese tea, books, and philosophy, attracting participants in their 20s and 30s.

Relaxed Space for Participants

The venue was opened as an open room outside of the program hours. Participants could sit on the furniture of their choice, read, and enjoy coffee as they pleased, and the entire event attracted more than 400 people.

Horror Night

, Sofa Tea Party, and Imaginary Map Experience

The first night's Horror Night featured a mysterious short story led by ghost storyteller Sakura Fukatsu, and participants shared their own scary experiences. The next morning, Changchun introduced the fascinating world of Japanese tea, and the participants discussed and compared three different types of Japanese tea. In the Imaizumi Takayuki's imaginary map experience, participants tried their hand at making a postcard-sized map and shared their stories.

Philosophy Dialogue, Morning Cinema, and Book Club

On Saturday evening, philosopher Rei Nagai held a philosophy dialogue where participants listened to each other's stories and thought about the living room. On the morning of the final day, Rui Arisaka organized a morning cinema by Kino Igloo, a mobile movie theater, where participants discussed movies. In the evening, Slow Media Lobsterr hosted a book club, where participants discussed the books they brought.

by artist Yuta Sanpei was also exhibited at the venue. His illustrations with vivid colors and gentle forms are inspired by nature and seaside scenery.
