A scratch lottery that scrapes the hidden silver part with coins. I was addicted to Mister Donut scratches and lottery tickets for a while, but I feel that the mechanism itself of "something comes out when scraped" is more addictive than actually winning.
The other day, I found a coloring book that you can fully enjoy such scratches at Tsutaya Books in Daikanyama. Is this also a kind of topical "adult coloring book"? I was curious, so I bought it.
◆ What is a scratch-type coloring book?
The "scratch postcard" I bought this time is a postcard that reveals a colorful landscape when you scratch the gray sketch with a pen tip. Sold by Lago Design in South Korea.
The back side is a postcard on which you can write a message, and after completion, you can give it to someone or decorate it in the room as it is. A fashionable envelope is also included.
◆ I tried it
There are four types of cards inside: Kinkakuji, Mt. Fuji, Osaka Castle, and Tokyo Tower. I will try the familiar Tokyo Tower from among them.
A simple pen is included in the set, but since it's a big deal, a scratch pen (sold separately) is also available (a type that can be inserted from the shape).
If you hit the pen tip terrifyingly, you can sharpen it with a lighter touch than you think. It may be more like "tracing" than shaving. The feeling that the handwriting changes vividly is fresh!
Black shavings will gradually accumulate, so wipe them off frequently. You can draw straight lines and fine grids naturally by drawing lines at once without worrying about the guide.
Keep doing it silently for less than an hour. The cherry blossoms floating on the spring night and the illuminated Tokyo Tower have been completed. Since there is a sketch, there is no failure and I am very satisfied with the finish as if it was drawn by a professional.
◆ There is also one for children!
The store also sells scratch books for children. With simple motifs such as dinosaurs and princesses, you can rest assured that the tip of the pen is not very sharp. Here, the handwriting will be in rainbow color!
By the way, it seems that black ink is harmless to the human body, but please be careful not to accidentally put it in your mouth.
I felt that it wasn't a "coloring book" if I wanted to sharpen it, but when I tried it, it felt like painting a black canvas, and it was an art that even adults could be absorbed in. The only drawback is that it gets trash, but after all scratching has a lot of fun!
The price of the scratch postcard is 2,592 yen, and the scratch book (dinosaur) is 850 yen (both including tax). You can purchase it at Tsutaya Bookstore in Daikanyama T-SITE (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) or at the company's online shop. Anyone can feel free to do it, so it may be a good gift.
