Pumpshade is created by artist Yukiko Morita (Morita Bakery). She began creating works using bread after seeing the waste products generated every day at the bakery where she worked as a student, and wishing to do something about it.

The pump shade is currently undergoing renewal, including the adoption of a more user-friendly switch. To raise funds for its development, they are seeking support on the crowdfunding site "CAMPFIRE. There is also a plan to get the renewed product at a special price, which will be delivered after next year regardless of whether the goal is reached.
