The cat calendar "Cat ni Mata Journey 2017" taken by Mitsuaki Iwago is included as a special appendix to the December issue of the camera magazine "Asahi Camera" released on November 19th. Previously it was a special appendix to the January issue, but this time it appeared a month earlier.


The cover of the calendar is the cat of Copacapana in Rio de Janeiro. This photo was taken when Mitsuaki Iwago, who travels around the world on location for "Mitsuaki Iwago's World Cat Walk," visited Brazil at the Rio Olympics and was walking on the beach of Copacapana. A cat lying down like a human on vacation became the face of "Cat and Trip 2017".


Mr. Iwago's work appears in the gravure of "Asahi Camera" magazine. Wild animals taken in Pantanal, South America, where the world's largest marsh is located, are unfolded over the first 12 pages.
