Mitsubishi Pencil "uni-ball R: E"
A rival appears in the 10th year?

When you hear "a ballpoint pen that disappears when rubbed", most people now think of the pilot's "FRIXON" series. At last, Mitsubishi Pencil hit the market, which had been won by one person for about 10 years.

Mitsubishi Pencil has already released a ballpoint pen that can be erased, but it seems that the "uni-ball R: E" released on January 27 is equipped with the newly developed "heat erasable ink". According to the product information, "When you rub the drawn lines with a special eraser, it becomes colorless due to frictional heat." ... This is already friction! I was curious, so I bought it immediately.

The ball diameter is only 0.5 mm, and there are a wide variety of ink colors and shaft designs. This time, I bought one with a cute pale pastel color (ink color is off-black) and two with ink color cherry pink (180 yen each tax not included).

When using, knock on the rear eraser part. At this point, the eraser part easily moves up and down, but if you turn the pen upside down, it will be locked, making it easier to erase with force.

When the shaft is turned upside down, the special eraser is fixed by the internal mechanism.

Friction ball knock
By the way, the friction ball knock knocks on the clip part.

Impression that ink output and color development are lighter than general gel ink ballpoint pens. There is some color unevenness, but it works well as a writing tool.

Certainly "off black"

The eraser has a cap that you can remove and rub when using. Of course, because it uses frictional heat, it is not erased, and it disappears cleanly.

In this case, it cannot be helped compared to friction, but both disappear at almost the same level. By the way, each rubber could erase each other's ink.

Why the cap?

The writing comfort as a pen is perfect, but personally I want to erase it as soon as I make a mistake, so it is hard to use the cap of the eraser (sliding with sweat ...). When I contacted the company, it seems that there is no problem even if the cap is removed and used to prevent it from getting dirty when it is put in a pen case. By the way, like friction, the ink becomes colorless at 60 degrees or higher, so be careful not to leave it in a hot place.

Another point to note is that the price of the main body and replacement core is set slightly lower than that of friction. This may be a rewind ...?
