It seems that going out during the summer vacation will be more fun. I found an item at Tokyu Hands that makes rice balls like "origami", so I tried it.
"Orinigiri" designed by Sunflower is a paper craft for rice balls. I introduced it before, but this is the first time I actually made it. There are 4 sheets with folding motifs such as triangular pyramid and Mt. Fuji, and the price is 1,080 yen (tax included).
A sheet as thick as a milk carton has creases in advance. Before making rice balls, first assemble them by imagining the finished product.
After spreading it again, put wrap, seaweed, rice and ingredients on it and mold it again. When I opened it, I got a "triangular pyramid" rice ball!
The seat can be closed tightly so you can carry it around while wrapping it. When you finish eating, you can spread it out and take it home with you so that it will not be a baggage.
Mt. Fuji is 1/4 the size of the previous one, and you can make cute palm-sized rice balls. It comes in 4 colors, so it's cute even if you line it up on the table.
The trick to making it beautiful is to first learn how to fold it firmly and assemble it all at once. Please note that if you move it wastefully on the way, the seaweed will wrinkle and the rice will be biased.
The process of making and the moment of opening are fun. Please devise ingredients and rice to make a playful rice ball ♪
