"Gnocchi" is a type of pasta that combines potatoes and wheat. It features a shape like a dumpling.

It's hard to try it unless it's a pasta specialty store, but this time I found a special sauce in KALDI! There are two flavors, "cheese cream" and "tomato cream". The price is 216 yen each (tax included).


I also bought the gnocchi itself and decided to give it a try.

KALDI gnocchi sauce

The gnocchi I bought was "Fratelli Battarioni Potato Gnocchi". The price is 204 yen (tax included) with 250g (8.82oz), and the country of origin is Italy.


The boiling time of gnocchi is surprisingly short, about 2 minutes. Put it in plenty of boiling water, and when it comes to the surface, boil it. Drain the water, put it on a plate, and entangle it with gnocchi sauce.

Cheese cream

Gnocchi sauce cheese cream has a rich creamy and rich taste. With plenty of cheese, it is as good as a voluminous gnocchi. Excellent compatibility with the flavor of potatoes that spreads when chewed!



A gnocchi with a chewy texture and a fluffy mouthfeel. Not only the appearance but also the taste may be similar to dumplings. Each one has a satisfying taste and makes me hungry.

Tomato cream

Gnocchi sauce Tomato cream has a strong sweetness and a slight acidity. This also has a rich and rich taste, and the creamy mouthfeel goes well with the chewy gnocchi. Although it tastes like tomato, it is as satisfying as cheese cream.


Anyway, the gnocchi sauce is finished with a rich and rich taste. If you like heavy weight, you can put it on regular pasta, but first of all, try gnocchi! I'm addicted to the chewy texture.
