"Orwell" is furniture that is a sofa, a bed, and a hideaway. Created by designers Alvaro Goula and Pablo Figuera.
"Orwell" is a sofa that brings back memories of the past. When I was a kid, it was created with the image of my own "secret base" that everyone wanted. Unlike ordinary sofas, it has a ceiling and walls, and also comes with a curtain that cuts off the connection with the outside world.
"Orwell" is an adult "secret base"
If you lie down on "Orwell" and lower the curtain, it will be a private space. Thick quilted curtains block out ambient noise. The size is almost a single bed. You can also lie down and sleep in a quiet environment.
Can also be used as a bed
The name "Orwell" comes from the author of "1984", "George Orwell". "1984" is a work that depicts the situation in which citizens are constantly monitored by a device called a "telescreen."
If you enter "Orwell" and lower the curtain, you may be able to escape from the modern "telescreen". However, it may be better not to bring a PC, smartphone or tablet.
