Daiso's 250 yen steamer solves the shortage of vegetables in winter! You can make exquisite steamed vegetables and meat buns in your usual pot.

Salad is hot in winter ♪

The author, whose body tends to get cold, is not good at eating cold salads in winter. When I was looking for a steamer that could make steamed vegetables to make up for the lack of vegetables, I found an item with a very good cost performance at the 100-yen shop "Daiso".

You can buy this at Daiso!

Introducing this time is Daiso's "Stainless Steel Folding Steamer". It is a 250 yen (excluding tax, the same applies below) product, but it is 100 yen or more cheaper than the same type of Nitori.

The material is stainless steam, and the opening degree can be adjusted according to the pot or deep frying pan you have. A ring that is easy to take out is also attached to the center.

From the folded state (diameter 13 cm)

Like an umbrella

Opens up to 23 cm in diameter

Any pot or frying pan is OK as long as the lid is closed

To use it, just fill the pot with an appropriate amount of water (so that it does not stick to the bottom of the steamer), put the ingredients and the steamer on it, cover it, and heat it.

It's hard to see, so I put it in after boiling.

Cover and steam

The ingredients for steamed vegetables are root vegetables such as carrots and turnips, broccoli, snap peas, paprika, mushrooms, etc. Root vegetables are difficult to cook, so adjust the size to cut. After boiling, steam for 5 to 10 minutes, and when it becomes moderately firm, it is complete.

Easy to take out (please attach mittens if hot)

Steamed vegetables are sweeter than when boiled and can be eaten with a small amount of seasoning. If you line up various dips such as miso mayonnaise, Bagna cauda sauce, salt and olive oil, it is perfect for hospitality.

Finish with your favorite dip sauce

Sweet, fresh and awesome

When I got a steamer, I wanted to do another Chinese steamed bun. It may harden when heated in the microwave, but this steamer will surely give you a fluffy and other finish like a convenience store. You should definitely do it even with a little effort!

After all it is this

I ate two

How is it different from Nitori?

By the way, Nitori sells a steamer of the same size and structure for 380 yen. When comparing the two, the difference was that Nitori could adjust the opening degree steplessly (Daiso opens fully when opened to some extent). The author did not have any particular problems with Daiso's products, but for reference.

(Left) Daiso, (Right) Nitori Looks almost the same

Daiso (left) opens fully when opened to some extent

The folding steamer can be stored compactly, and it is a nice point that it does not take up space in the off-season. If you don't have it yet, check it out with Daiso!
