"Kitayama Log", which is born from Kitayama cedar in Kyoto, is a famous tree that is often used for floor pillars because the surface of the wood is smooth and beautiful. Kyoto Natural Factory will release "NENRIN", a Bluetooth stereo speaker with a built-in amplifier that takes advantage of such beautiful wood surface, on July 19th. The selling price is not cheap at 90,000 yen (excluding tax), but it should be convincing considering the beauty of the appearance and the adoption of wood cone speakers that are particular about sound.

Kitayama logs are a product of traditional crafts that carefully peel the skin of Kitayama cedar and polish it by hand to give it a beautiful bark and luster. Although it was mainly used as a tokonoma, demand has dropped sharply due to the increase in the number of houses that do not have a tokonoma. This time, Kyoto Natural Factory has developed NENRIN so that this beautiful traditional craft of Kyoto will not be lost. However, it seems that it was difficult to commercialize it, and it took five years to complete it.

The NENRIN lineup consists of the "NENRIN mini DESHIBO", which is a natural squeezed log (commonly known as "Deshibo") body that pushes the beauty of the natural wood surface to the front, and the artificial squeezed log (same: Jinshibo), in which craftsmen create "wrinkles" on the wood surface. Two types of body "NENRIN mini JINS HIBO". Both are available in two colors, "natural color" and "dark color".
