Jesse Leeworthy has developed an A4 file size water bottle "memobottle" and started selling it on kickstarter on August 29th. The price is 32 Australian dollars (about 3,136 yen). A separate shipping fee of 7 Australian dollars (about 686 yen) is required for shipping to Japan.


The mainstream notebook PC size is A4 file size. This is because typical business bags are designed to hold A4 files without bending. The A4 file size should be perfect for a water bottle that you carry in your business bag. However, until now, even if the water bottle was touted as "usable in the business scene," its shape remained tubular.


The "memobottle" is a water bottle that can be stored in a business bag together with an A4 file size notebook PC. Unlike traditional cylindrical water bottles, it does not inflate the bag. The slim size makes it easy to store in a bag. Since water leakage prevention measures are taken, it seems that the PC will not get wet even if it is stored next to the notebook PC. It can also be washed in the dishwasher.




"Memo bottle" is a product that aims to reduce the consumption of PET bottles. According to Leeworthy, more than 50 billion bottled beverages were sold worldwide in the last year. Leeworthy wants to reduce the number of PET bottles that are used only once and discarded by spreading "memobottle".



In addition to A4, there are A5 and letter sizes. The capacity is 1.25 liters for A4 and letter size, and 0.75 liters for A5. If you place an order now, you will receive it around December 2014.
