According to a friend who is familiar with paper drip, when steeping the powder, the walls of the dripper prevent it from expanding, which prevents the true flavor of the coffee from coming out. In addition, the hot water accumulates in the dripper, so the powder soaks for a long time and tends to produce a foul taste.
While walking around thinking about ways to drink good coffee without the hassle, I found a set of Starbucks' glass coffee servers and special drippers.

First of all, the server, formed entirely of glass, is beautiful. It has a wide mouth, so it looks good with a flannel filter.
Then, the dedicated dripper is remarkable. This wire dripper has a structure that supports the paper filter with the minimum amount of stainless steel wire necessary. It will not accumulate hot water during dripping, so it should brew deliciously. We call it "Mr. Wire Dripper" out of respect for its stunning functional beauty.

Let's try it out.

First of all, the most important thing is to steam the freshly ground powder properly. The wire dripper's paper filter is fully visible, so it is easy to see at a glance how far the hot water has reached the powder. This avoids over- or under-steaming the hot water.

After 30 seconds, when the powder has fully expanded, the extraction process begins. As with flannel drip, you do not want to accumulate hot water, so pour an equal amount from the bottom. You will see the extracted coffee seeping out from the entire paper. Make sure that the hot water reaches the surrounding powder, but you need to adjust the amount so that it does not accumulate too much.

Keep pouring slowly and unhurriedly, but if you take too long, even the miscellaneous flavor components will come out. So, I removed the wire dripper at the appropriate point, added hot water to adjust the thickness, and finished.

I immediately took a sip and was surprised at the taste, "Oh, you brewed it with a paper filter? I was surprised at the taste. It is a delicious coffee with no bitterness. I was surprised at how much the taste changed just by using a wire dripper. I knew the tool was important.
Even though it is such a wonderful dripper, Starbucks only calls it a "glass drip coffee maker. Moreover, there is not a single mention of the wire dripper, which holds the secret to the taste. Just by changing the dripper to this minimalist wire dripper, you can improve your daily coffee one rank higher.
It would be a shame not to advertise this, Starbucks.
