Karcher Japan will release stick-type household steam cleaners "SC 1 Premium" and "SC 1 Classic" on March 23.


This product is a steam cleaner equipped with a newly developed compact and lightweight full-scale boiler. The high temperature steam and pressure of about 100 degrees lifts and removes dirt without using detergent, and 99.99% of the attached bacteria are also sterilized. It can be used for a wide range of cleaning, including flooring, stairs, entrances, water areas such as kitchens and washrooms, and oil stains on gas stoves and ventilation fans.


Although it is a boiler type, the heat-up time after water supply is about 3 minutes, which is significantly shorter than the conventional product. In addition to being able to lock the steam with the touch of a button, safety is also taken into consideration, such as an empty heating prevention sensor and a safety valve.

The main body size is W127 x H186 x L321 mm. It weighs 1.5 kg. Power consumption is 1,200W and continuous use time is about 6 and a half minutes.

SC 1 Premium is sold at home electronics stores, and SC 1 Classic is sold at home improvement stores, Karcher centers, Karcher shops, and online shops. The reference price is 19,980 yen (excluding tax).
