Kimura Soap Industry, located in Osaka, is a long-established soap manufacturer established in 1924. It is one of the few soap manufacturers in Japan that still uses the "kettle burning" method of soap making, in which craftsmen still use their own hands.

The main cleansing ingredient of the new SOMALI brand is 100% plant-derived soap made in-house. It contains no synthetic surfactants, synthetic fragrances, synthetic colorants, preservatives, or mineral oil, and is made with only natural mineral-derived ingredients.
