Home vegetable garden has started pre-order sales of "Aqua Sprout", a device for circulating agriculture that grows fish and plants together. The main unit price is 39,800 yen (excluding tax). Shipping is scheduled for mid-December or later.
This product is a device that allows you to easily enjoy "aquaponics" that utilizes aquarium water for hydroponics at home or at school. Microorganisms decompose the ammonia discharged by fish to nourish the plants, and the water purified by the plants returns to the aquarium. Vegetables and herbs such as leaf lettuce and arugula can be grown on the aquarium and can be eaten after harvest.
The basic care is to feed the fish once a day and add the evaporated water once a week. It is said that it can be installed in a place where the sunlight irradiation time can be secured for 6 hours or more a day, or in a dark room by using a separate light (sold separately).
The set contents of the main body are a water tank, hydroball (medium), submersible pump, and light stand. The size of the aquarium body is W73 x D25 x H45 cm, and the height when the light stand is installed is 95 cm. The color is a calm matte black that easily fits into the interior.
We also have a starter kit that includes equipment such as fish food, bottom stones, and commercially available microorganisms that are necessary at the start. Both the main unit and starter kit can be purchased at an early discount price until December 12.
