The event "Glasses Festival 2016" to fully enjoy "glasses" will be held in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture from May 27th to May 29th. Organized by the Fukui Optical Association.


The glasses festival that about 10,000 people visited when it was held last time. This time as well, there are various events such as a live stage by the band "THE Megane-zu" formed for the festival, "glasses gourmet" provided by restaurants inside and outside the prefecture, sales of eyeglass goods, and workshops using waste eyeglasses. It seems that the project will be carried out (event image is as of 2015).





In addition, this year's event will be held on the same day as "Sabae Glasses Messe 2016," where Sabae's craftsmanship and the latest technology will be gathered. More than 60 eyeglass affiliates in Fukui Prefecture will participate in the Kyoyo Kaikan in Sabae City, and exhibitions of products and technologies, seminars, factory tourism, etc. are planned.
