The roof tiles, which have a history of 1400 years in Japan, are attractive for their unique beauty called "Ibushi silver" in addition to their durability to survive the rain and wind. However, due to changes in the housing environment, the chances of seeing it are decreasing.

A new brand "icci KAWARA PRODUCTS" that proposes the charm of such tiles as daily necessities is born. The first item is on sale from today (June 5th).


Ichinose Tile Industry, a tile maker that has been in Yamanashi Prefecture for 100 years, has worked on it. The art director will be Mr. Hirock, who is known for the graphic design of the apparel brand "A BATHING APE", and will develop items with functionality and design.


There are 16 types of items to be released this time, from daily necessities such as coasters, trays and bowls to objects. The simple design that makes use of the unique silver color matches modern interiors.
